Music & Movement:
Play "Bean Bag Boogie" from "Kids in Motion" cd by Greg & Steve. Give children
bean bags and tell them to pretend the bags are apples.  Let children walk around
trying to balance one, two, three, or more on top of their heads.

Snack:
10 Apple Wedges
Morning Circle:
Review the "A" letter bag and the sounds "A" can make.  Ask the children to look
around the room for other things that begin with the "A" sound.  Show the
children a red apple.  Ask the children what color their favorite apples are.  Ask the
children to point out red things they see in the circle area.
Apple Counters
Uses our printable apples for children to practice their
counting skills.  Write the number on the tree for
children to match the correct amount of apples to!
Farm Set's & Tractors

farming equipment, and little people for them to
pretend to have an apple farm.
Red Food Coloring Blots
Take a large sheet of butcher paper and spread it out on
a long table.  (Or print up the Apple Template
Above)Make sure the children's clothing is protected.
Let them drop the red food dye from medicine
droppers onto the paper.  Discuss shapes and patterns
that form.
Paper Plate Apples.
Give each child a small white paper plate.  Let them color
one side red.  Provide green paper "leaves" and a brown
paper "stem," and let the children glue or tape them to the
top.  Fold a long skinny piece of brown or green paper
accordian-style, and glue onto red side of the "apple" for the
worm.  Let the children glue small black beans onto the
white side of the plate for apple seeds.  Hang from the
ceiling when dry.
Optional Craft/Math Activity:    10 Apples Up on Top

while also creating a portrait of themselves.  First, after you read
the book,
"Ten Apples Up on Top" by Dr. Seuess you can have
your children make their own face on a paper plate.  Then let
them write the numbers 1-10 on pre-cut apple shapes, and help
them staple them in order so that they re all up on top of their
heads.
Bible Verse Bracelets:
Romans 5:8-9
"While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us."

understand that Jesus took upon
Himself the punishment for our
sins and those of Adam and Eve.

children who are ready to practice tracing the letters
of the alphabet.  A is for Adam and Eve, and they can
color a picture of them in the garden of Eden.
Optional Bible Verse Copywork
If you have older children in your class or home, then
print up this optional page for working on handwriting
skills.  This page has a picture of Jesus carrying his
cross, and the Bible Verse from Romans 5:8.
Family Tree Bulletin Board
Learning about Adam & Eve and Apples
goes hand in hand with learning about
our Family Trees!
For some extra fun, create a tree from
butcher paper for a bulletin board.  Have
children color the apples and draw a
picture of themselves (or their families)
in the circle.  Cut out the apples and put
them up on the bulletin board.  You
could title the board "I'm part of God's
Family", or "I am a Child of God" or
